The Majestic Takes Sail

Hawaii is the place for any scavenger at heart.

The Majestic appeared to us one day in a stinky canal, half sunk and filled with water. I'm pretty sure it had been abandoned for decades because I think they stopped making vinyl and wood canoes in the 60's! We shined this baby up and strapped it on top of the car. We took it down the road to Kahana Bay and strolled up the river that empties into this bay. It was amazing. It winded way back into the Kualoa Mountains. First off, we were amazed that it actually made it to the drop off, as it was tied to the car with all the kite string that we could find. We were also extremely impressed that it stayed afloat with not two, but FOUR people in it. We imagined this canoe would be a one-tripper, if you know what I mean. (ABANDON SHIP!!!!)

It was truly Majestic!
